When you're waiting on an answer, a door or a breakthrough, these faith-filled affirmations can help you stay steady in the in-between.

Waiting might be one of the hardest things we’re ever asked to do. Waiting on test results. On a job offer. On a relationship to heal. On a prayer to be answered in a way we can actually see.

In my own seasons of waiting, my mind loves to fill the silence with worst-case scenarios. Affirmations help me fill it with truth instead. If you’re waiting on something right now, these are for you.

Waiting Isn’t Wasted Time

I’ve come to believe that waiting is not empty time. Something is being built, even when I can’t see it. Roots grow underground long before anything breaks through the soil.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” That verse from Isaiah has carried me through more than one long season. Waiting, it turns out, can be where strength comes from.

Affirmations for the In-Between

Read these slowly. Choose one or two that speak to you and write them where you’ll see them each day.

  • I am not forgotten. I am being prepared.
  • What is meant for me will not pass me by.
  • I can be patient without being passive.
  • My worth does not depend on how quickly things happen.
  • I trust the timing of my life, even when I don’t understand it.
  • I am allowed to feel impatient and still keep the faith.
  • Today, I will do my part and release the rest.
  • Peace is available to me right now, not just on the other side of this.

Make Them Your Own

The best affirmations are the ones written in your own words. Try this in your journal: write what you’re waiting for, then write one sentence about who you want to be while you wait.

Maybe it’s: I want to be someone who stays kind while I wait. Or: I want to keep living fully, not put my life on hold.

Waiting is hard. You are allowed to find it hard. But you don’t have to walk through it alone, and you don’t have to walk through it afraid.

I’m holding hope for you while you wait. What’s meant for you is still on its way.
